3Com Embedded Firewall Starter Policy Server Software

The 3Com Embedded Firewall Starter Policy Server is a ten-client version of the embedded firewall management software. It supports the same feature set as the 1, 000-client version, and likewise is required to configure and manage 3Com Firewall PCI and PC Cards (sold separately). This cost-saving version lets IT staff test-run embedded firewalls on a smaller scale. It's also convenient for securing smaller networks.

Although policy server software provides management, firewall card hardware operates transparently to users, applications, and operating systems.
